Marlin products are manufactured to specifications in conformance with Initial Calibration Tolerance of ANSI/ASTM E230. Standard grade wire is used in manufacturing all Marlin thermocouples for temperature above 32°F; special grade thermocouples for use at sub-zero temperatures, and thermocouples with certified traceable calibrations are available upon request. To order a special grade Initial Calibration Tolerance Thermocouple use a designation; e.g.,2T,2J,2E,2K,2N.
